Frequently Asked Questions

All funds raised go directly to the Toronto Public Library Foundation. Donations support programs and services not fully covered by public funding, including initiatives that help seniors stay connected, engaged, and supported — both in library branches and when they can’t get there themselves.
-
Yes. Donations made through the official fundraising page are eligible for a charitable tax receipt issued by the Toronto Public Library Foundation.

The most direct way is to donate. Every contribution helps fund programs that keep Toronto’s libraries accessible, welcoming, and connected to the people who rely on them most.

Libraries shaped my life growing up, and they mattered deeply to my mom — especially as getting out became harder. This walk is my way of giving back to a place that quietly supports so many people, particularly seniors, every single day.

Yes — and I’d love that. You can join me for one library stop, a short stretch, or a longer walk. I’ll be using Race Roster for people who want to walk with me and/or support the fundraiser, and I’ll also share my planned daily routes via Google Docs. Links for both will be posted shortly.
-
I’ll share my approximate routes by day, but exact timing will always be flexible. This is a long walk across a real city — weather, rest breaks, and life happen. I’ll post real-time updates on Instagram, so that’s the best place to check if you’re hoping to join for part of a walk.
-

-
